Timo Glock has revealed that some of Virgin's car upgrades for the Turkish Grand Prix have not worked as expected.

Glock's car featured a new nose cone and exhaust layout on Friday but was off the pace of team-mate Jerome d'Ambrosio, whose car was not running as many of the new additions.

"Some of the updates worked, some didn't," Glock told the German broadcaster Sky. "The parts that would have brought most of the time didn't [work]."

He said the biggest innovation was the exhaust-blown diffuser, but it initially caused overheating problems.

"We tried it yesterday and it didn't work as it should have," he said on Saturday. "There were some things becoming too hot, so we've had to go back a bit."
