Sebastian Vettel said that he had fallen in love with the Suzuka circuit after winning the Japanese Grand Prix for the second time.

Vettel led home team-mate Mark Webber for a Red Bull 1-2 and confessed that it had been an 'incredible day' after he followed up qualifying on pole with victory in the same day. Afterwards, he dedicated his victory to the hard work of his team.

"It was an incredible day," said Vettel. "Obviously this morning with qualifying and the pole position and this afternoon we just continued, so fantastic. It was down to the team they have been working very hard and most of the guys didn't sleep from Thursday to Saturday so it was actually good there was no quail so they didn't have to touch the car and get some sleep and I think they deserve it today.

"Obviously this track is drawn for us with all the high-speed corners and it is always a pleasure. And with the car getting lighter and lighter at the end it was more and more fun."

After holding off the challenge of a fast starting Robert Kubica into the first corner, Vettel was able to control the race from the front and narrow the gap to 14 points from his team-mate.

"I had a good start which was obviously the key from the clean side. I could see Robert but got a bit of momentum and it was too short for him into turn one. The safety car stayed out quite long obviously with the incident with Kubica then after that both of us were able to pull away from the field and then just control the pace until the end. There was a little bit of a rest behind Jenson because we couldn't really go through him so we had to wait until he pitted and after that just incredible.

"So I'm really, really happy and it's about time! It is the first time I have won a grand prix for the second time so you have to fall in love with this track."
