Car looks strong after practice - di Resta
Paul di Resta is confident Force India has arrived at Monza with a strong set-up, but still thinks he will find improvements ahead of qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix on Saturday.
Di Resta finished the session seventh fastest and just 0.256s off the fastest time set by Lewis Hamilton. However, after missing FP1 to allow Jules Bianchi some time in the cockpit, di Resta is confident the car can be improved ahead of qualifying.
"I think it was right from the off and with each run we improved quite quickly and gathered what we need to do and it proves that the simulator work we did obviously helps," he said. "I missed FP1 so there are more things that I can analyse and try to be picky on moving forward for tomorrow."
Asked if his setup will be a good balance between speed in qualifying and being competitive and able to defend in the DRS zones during the race, he said: "I think it's very much about how you can arrive with a baseline set-up that you are comfortable with. Up until now that's something we've achieved and on the whole that's not going to change tomorrow and I think there are areas we can go forward a bit."
