The Force India team has been fined 5000 Euros for using the wrong set of tyres during free practice 1 for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Race stewards found that the use of prime tyres on Paul di Resta's car breached Article 25.4 of F1's sporting regulations as they were due only for use on Saturday morning's final practice session.

Article 25.4 of the FIA regulations states: "Each nominated driver will be allocated three sets of dry-weather tyres for use during P1 and P2, two of "prime" specification and one of "option" specification. These are the only dry-weather tyres which may be used during these sessions."

It is not the first time that Force India has made a mistake concerning tyres. The team was also reprimanded for fitting the wrong tyres to Vitantonio Liuzzi and Adrian Sutil's cars during a pit stop in the German Grand Prix.
