Pirelli has announced its tyre compound choices for the three grands prix following the summer break.

The next race will be the Belgian Grand Prix on September 2 and Pirelli has nominated the medium and hard compound tyre for the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. It's only the second time that the combination has been selected - with the Malaysian Grand Prix also seeing the medium and hard paired together - with the high-speeds seeing plenty of energy put through the tyres.

The Italian Grand Prix at Monza will see the same selection of medium and hard used - again due to the high average speed - with the Singapore street circuit seeing the soft and supersoft compounds supplied as they were in Monaco and Canada.

The hard compound remains the same as it has previously in 2012, despite Pirelli testing a new version of the tyre during Friday practice at the German Grand Prix. The experimental compound was run with 2013 in mind.
