MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi has been linked to another Formula One test with Ferrari in January. Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports the champion's request to drive an F1 car again was granted by Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicalli.
The news comes as something of a surprise after Rossi stated on a number of occasions that his future remained firmly in Moto GP. An outing in January would be his third F1 test with Ferrari, his most recent being a two day test at Mugello in November last year.
The news will undoubtedly ramp up speculation of a switch from two wheels to four for the six-time Moto GP champion. Rossi currently has a deal with Yamaha to race in the premier motorbike championship until 2010.
