Mark Webber is expecting "a very tight grand prix" at Silverstone on Sunday after failing to pick out a clear favourite during Friday practice.

Nico Rosberg set the fastest time of FP2 - the only dry session on Friday - with Webber 0.3s behind the Mercedes in second place. While the Mercedes looked quick on one lap it wasn't quite so competitive over the long runs later in the day and Webber said there wasn't any team which stood out to him.

"I haven't looked at what other people have done so I will have a little look tonight on how they shaped up," Webber said. "But I still think it will be quite tight to be honest. I don't think there's anyone charging away and I think it will be a very tight grand prix."

Webber added that Red Bull would need to make sure it maximises its race pace having struggled slightly with the tyres on high fuel.

"Our one-lap pace is not very important, it's the race pace which everybody wants to be strong on. So our qualifying pace I would say was pretty good but you need to look at the balance of the car on the longer run. So that's what we're going to focus on tonight and make sure we have a good car for Sunday.

"[The balance is] pretty good but the tyres are still not happy! So we need to make the tyres happier; that's our job these days to make the tyres as happy as possible and that's the job tonight."
