Damage to the outside Jerez's turn nine brought an hour-long stoppage to testing after concrete came loose on the exit kerb.

At 12:43 red flags came out to stop the test with the marshals attending the kerb to sweep away loose concrete. Once the debris had been removed it became clear that testing would not be able to resume as a significant hole had been left in the kerbing about a foot square.

The hole was roughly an inch or two deep and and required filling with quick-drying cement before the cars got back out on track at 13:38.

As a result of the stoppage the final day of testing has been extended by half an hour until 1730 local time.
