Divo was one of the leading drivers of the 1920s, recording his first major win driving for Sunbeam at the 1923 Spanish Grand Prix, and in 1924 he finished second at the European Grand Prix at Lyon. His best year was 1925 when he won the French Grand Prix (sharing his drive with Robert Benoist) and the San Sebastián Grand Prix (with André Morel). In 1926 he led the British Grand Prix at Brooklands before suffering engine failure close to the finish, and he returned the following year to take third. He subsequently drove a Bugatti Type 35 to victories in the 1928 and 1929 Targa Florio. He was a founding member of the Club International des Anciens Pilotes de Grand Prix F1 in 1962.
