Glock remains committed to Virgin
Timo Glock insists he is committed to the Virgin Racing cause despite rumours linking the highly-rated German driver to a move elsewhere for 2011.
Glock, along with compatriot Adrian Sutil, had been linked to a seat at Renault alongside Robert Kubica. But speaking on his official website, Glock said he intends to honour his contract with his current team.
"I have a long-term contract with Virgin Racing and am determined to get the team to the next level," said Glock. "We have all the conditions necessary to achieve our goals this season and in the future."
Virgin Racing's debut season in Formula One has been a testing one, the team propping up the constructors' standings behind fellow newcomers Lotus on HRT based on best finishes. But Glock said he entered the 2010 season with his eyes wide open, well aware of the massive challenge ahead.
"Our debut season at Virgin Racing has been a big challenge but I always knew this would be the case when I joined the team. We can't deny there have been some frustrations along the way. It hasn't always been a straightforward run up to the race and we have made things harder for ourselves sometimes.
"I am fully behind Virgin Racing and very motivated because of the progress we have made so far and that we can continue to make in the last seven races of the season. I have always said that I want to be in a team and a car that is continually pushing forward. We are improving all the time now, but there are also bigger steps we have to take in the future."
