Horner says new flexi test did not affect RB6 performance

Christian Horner denies that the more stringent flexi tests enforced by the FIA had any negative effect on his team's performance at Spa.

Jenson Button said after the Belgian Grand Prix that he thought the new tests had affected the pace of the rival RB6 machine and that he expected more of the same at Monza. But Horner hit back at Button's claims, saying that there had been no change in his team's cars since the Hungarian GP.

"I can categorically tell you that they are the same wings that ran in Hungary a month ago," Horner told the Telegraph. "Whether that is the same for our competitors I can't say."

Horner also deflected the attention off his team by suggesting that it was the McLaren cars and not his that may have been using a more flexible wing design in Belgium.

"I would be very interested to know - and you might find it was a silver wing that was most flexible [at Spa]."
