Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button will be the envy of the pit lane in Monaco this weekend and not just because they are driving two of the fastest cars.

As is customary at this time of the year at one of sport's most glamorous occasions, Steinmetz diamond specialists have again joined forces with McLaren to show off their spectacular jewels.

In previous years at Monaco, McLaren's drivers have had their initials encrusted onto their helmets with diamonds, but Steinmetz have opted for a more hands on approach for the 2010 showpiece event.

For this year's grand prix weekend, and to celebrate the drivers recent victories in Monaco in 2008 and 2009, Hamilton will have the number '08' and Button '09' in diamonds on their steering wheels.

"They look absolutely incredible and add a real bit of bling to the cars," said Hamilton. "I won in 2008 wearing a Steinmetz diamond-studded helmet, so I'm hoping it will bring me luck again this year."

Button, who is aiming to become Britain's first back-to-back Monaco winner since Graham Hill, was equally impressed by Steinmetz's latest offering.

"Monaco is one of the most prestigious and important races on the calendar, a race I feel honoured to have won," said Button. "To be racing for McLaren with a diamond-crested steering wheel, created especially for me, is a great honour."
