Mercedes will launch Michael Schumacher's new car in Stuttgart towards the end of January according to reports in the German press.

Plans for a joint launch between all the teams were dropped earlier this month when smaller teams voiced concerns over the amount of exposure they would get compared to the likes of Ferrari and Mercedes. Now Bild, which was one of the first newspapers to break the Michael Schumacher comeback story, is reporting the team will launch its car at the Mercedes-Benz museum in Unterturkheim, in what it has dubbed the "Schumi-show".

The story added that Schumacher will not drive the car until an official test on February 10 in Jerez.

That means Nico Rosberg is likely to be the first to shakedown the new car at the opening group test at the Ricardo Tormo circuit outside Valencia.
