Hamilton may seek move - Hill
Hamilton endured a difficult 2011 with personal problems off the track affecting his performances on it. With Jenson Button finishing as runner-up to Sebastian Vettel, it was the first time Hamilton had been beaten across a season by his team-mate in Formula One. Button moved to McLaren in 2010 to challenge himself against Hamilton who has been with the team since his debut in 2007, and Hill said that Hamilton may feel a similar move would be beneficial.
"He has not made it clear where his future lies," Hill told the Press Association. "It may be he will seek to move from McLaren. It may be something he feels he needs to do, which will be a bit like leaving home as he's been there since he was 13. So what he does next, that's going to be a big question mark over the season."
While Hill admits that Hamilton might not fit in to certain teams, he said a partnership with Vettel at Red Bull would be best for the sport.
"There's no doubt he is an asset as a driver in any team, but there are only certain places where he could fit. If I was Bernie [Ecclestone] I would probably want to see Lewis at Red Bull with Vettel. But I can't see them wanting to destabilise themselves because that might be very challenging for both of them, but anything is possible in Formula One."
