Kimi Raikkonen says reliability issues for Lotus during pre-season testing do not concern him ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.

Lotus suffered gearbox problems during the Barcelona tests, with Raikkonen missing out on significant running on two days as a result. Despite the issues, Lotus has shown impressive pace which suggests Raikkonen could once again mount a title challenge and although he is not willing to make any predictions about the E21's pace he doesn't fear any reliability troubles.

"It's difficult to say, we will see after maybe two or three races where we are but we had a few small issues and unfortunately the issues just took a long time to fix," Raikkonen said. "It happens, I think we should be OK but there's always things that can go wrong but I think we're going to be speed-wise more or less similar to where we were last year when we started. Like I said it's difficult to say exactly where we'll be but like I said we'll see a bit tomorrow."

With a full season under his belt since returning to the sport, Raikkonen doesn't believe the extra experience will make much difference to his performances this year.

"I don't think it's going to really change. I know the team so it should be a bit easier to start the year but there's no promise that it's going to give you better results, so it's another year and we'll try to do as well as we can."
