Paul di Resta says he wants to get his management future resolved in the next month while a court case with Anthony Hamilton proceeds.

Hamilton is suing di Resta for wrongful termination of contract and loss of earnings following his dismissal as manager earlier this year. While di Resta has been without a manager since the split in early July, he says he has used the summer break to take stock and wants to decide on a new management set-up soon.

"I've certainly been thinking a lot," di Resta said. "It was actually nice to have that time off and just really see where I am in life and see what I'm doing. It's certainly something you need to look at to see where we're going in the future and I've said that, when I feel it's appropriate I'll do it.

"At the moment I'm relatively content, but I think certainly in the near future I'll need to make a final decision what exactly I'm doing [in terms of representation]. And what way I want to go and what way is the best structure for me to influence and certainly get the whole size of it and explore my opportunities best. Whether that's in the racing but equally away from it because there's other aspects of the business that you need to work on as well."

Di Resta added that the ongoing court case with Hamilton would not be a distraction for him.

"It's all in the hands of the lawyer, and I'm very confident and very comfortable with the information he's got. He's got all the information he needs and he's dealing with it in the appropriate manner, he's the right person to do it … I'm quite happy. He sometimes asks me questions based upon it but other than that; I had a period there where I never spoke to him for four weeks, then he called me up and asked me something yesterday and I gave him what he needed to know and that's it."
