Karthikeyan has ambitions of Force India drive
Narain Karthikeyan could be set for a second foray into the Formula One arena after he tested in Force India's driver simulator following the Abu Dhabi season finale last month.
Before Karun Chandhok made his debut for HRT in 2010, Karthikeyan was India's first grand prix driver, driving for Jordan during the 2005 season.
But the 33-year-old played down reports that the test has anything to do with him being in contention for a drive in 2011.
"I did go for a simulator test but that's all that happened," said Karthikeyan. "I'm not willing to comment on what happened during and after the tests. I think you should talk to (Vijay) Mallya about the results and my performance."
Force India is yet to officially confirm a single driver for next season, with Adrian Sutil, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg also thought to be in contention.
Should Karthikeyan gets the nod, he would have the added bonus of driving at his home race for the inaugural Indian Grand Prix.
"I'm looking forward to it. Every driver would like to be in the inaugural race."
