Scottish driver di Resta to test for Force India
Paul di Resta has lined up a test drive with Force India at the upcoming young drivers' test day according to the Switzerland's Motorsport Aktuell.
The test, which will be held at Jerez over December 1-3, is designed to allow drivers who have competed in less than three grand prix to gain experience in a Formula One car. di Resta completed a private for McLaren at Silverstone in 2008, but this will be his first chance to sample F1 machinery in the company of others.
He finished third in this year's DTM championship driving for Force India's engine partner Mercedes. The 23-year-old has been on Formula One's radar for some time, having beaten Red Bull race-winner Sebastian Vettel to the Formula 3 Euroseries title in 2006. Di Resta is the cousin of racing brothers Dario and Marino Franchitti who both now race in the USA.
