Bernie Ecclestone has confirmed that the 2013 calendar is set to include the race in New Jersey.

Speaking at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Ecclestone revealed that the race calendar for next season would contain 20 grands prix once again. He had previously said that he was unsure about whether the race in New Jersey would take place, telling the BBC in June: "No …definitely, no (it won't happen in 2013).

"I need to go and have another look. What I've seen up to now, and what's been going on, I'm not quite as sure as they are. If they can get it completed and confirm to us it will be done, for sure, they'll be on the calendar."

Following those contradicting comments, however, Ecclestone now seems more certain of the situation. When asked if one of the 20 races was New Jersey he said: "Yes, it's supposed to be."

Ecclestone also hinted that an agreement had been reached over the future of the Spanish Grand Prix when asked if Formula One would be in Valencia in 2013.

"No (Valencia won't be on the calendar), because next year it will be Barcelona because of the alteration."
