Jean Todt will remain president of the FIA after being officially voted in on Friday in Paris.

It's the start of a second term in office for Todt, who stood unopposed after his main challenger David Ward withdrew from the elections last month after failing to secure the necessary support to launch his nomination.

Todt's re-election was confirmed on the final day of the FIA's Annual General Assembly in Paris, and ensures he will continue as president for another four years. The vote saw a unanimous result, with no abstentions.

"Thank you for so strongly endorsing our Team," Todt said during his acceptance speech. "We are both humbled and proud to have your trust to guide our great organisation for another four years. Nick [Craw], Brian [Gibbons], Graham [Stoker], and I thank you."
