Massa used to extra pressure
Felipe Massa says the added pressure this year at Ferrari is nothing new and that he is confident he can have a better second half to the season.
Doubt has been cast over Massa's future at Ferrari as he is out of contract with the team at the end of the year and has scored just 25 points this season to team-mate Fernando Alonso's 164. Team boss Stefano Domenicali hinted recently that the Brazilian can retain his seat with improved performances, but Massa said the extra pressure is nothing new.
"Many people seem to think this is the first time it has happened to me, but it is not," he told TotalRace.com.br. "This has happened many times [in my career], even before I was racing in Formula One when if I did not win the race I had no money for the next."
Massa said he had always dealt with such situations in the past and that this year he would focus on scoring better results in the second half of the year.
"Every year there is something we have to deal with and get over and this year I'm preparing and concentrating as much as possible to have a better second half of the championship."
