Romain Grosjean says he is "happy" to help Kimi Raikkonen in the title challenge by letting him past on track.

Raikkonen is currently third in the standings, 45 points behind championship leader Fernando Alonso. With Alonso having displayed how important it is to score consistent points, Grosjean has said he is willing to move over "every time we need" because he has no championship aspirations of his own.

"I think we need to be intelligent," Grosjean said. "We started the year with both cars ... both drivers very happy and then until Spa we had fair racing. From now on it's logical that Kimi's fighting at the front of the championship, I don't have many hopes in terms of position - I'm eighth, could be seventh if we score good points - but Kimi's still at the front. So yes I will be happy to let him by every time we need, and I know that if the line-up is the same next year from race one it is going to be the same fair play until one is leading the other one. It's not one and two it's just a question of being intelligent and thinking about the team and not for myself."

Grosjean also revealed that the Lotus rear wing 'device' is not guaranteed to be raced by both cars on Sunday, with Raikkonen testing it on Friday.

"Only Kimi to start with as we need to compare ... it depends how it goes tomorrow morning. If it's a fantastic device then yes (we will run it), if it's not as good or we have some concern maybe not. If there is a good gain and a risk then we may take it, if there's a small gain and a risk then no."
