Kubica would be at Ferrari - Ecclestone
Kubica is yet to return to competitive action after missing the whole of the 2011 season as a result of injuries sustained in the crash in Italy last February. With Felipe Massa struggling alongside Fernando Alonso, Ecclestone told the official Formula One website that he didn't see a viable alternative to replace him while Kubica remains unavailable.
"One thing is clear - Felipe is not really blessed by luck, but he is fast," Ecclestone said. "I rather think that it is a question of alternatives at Ferrari: who from the available drivers is faster than Felipe? I don't see anybody. But I am sure that Robert Kubica would by now be sitting in a Ferrari had he not had his terrible rally accident."
Kubica's recovery appears to be progressing, however, following reports that he tested a Skoda Fabia rally car in Rovegno, Genoa last Thursday.
