Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher won their third successive Nations Cup for Germany at the Race of Champions in the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing.

The pair saw off stiff competition from the British pairing of Jenson Button and three-time World Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx in the finals. Schumacher beat Button in the first heat, before Priaulx levelled the scores, beating Vettel in the second. In the deciding race, Schumacher won to retain the trophy for the third year running.

On Wednesday competitors will return to the track to race for the individual competition, and the honour of being crowned Champion of Champions. With defending champion Sebastien Loeb not competing; Schumacher is the favourite to complete an historic double for Germany.
