McLaren's Lewis Hamilton set the pace in the final practice session ahead of qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix.

He had serious concerns about tyre degradation overnight, but his time of 1:16.058 - the best of the weekend so far - proved the McLaren is at least very quick over one lap. It is set to be one of the closest qualifying sessions of the season, as four different cars occupied the top four positions, and Red Bull's Mark Webber was just 0.282 seconds off Hamilton in second. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was third with Schumacher in the Mercedes fourth.
