Mattiacci brings fresh approach to Ferrari - Raikkonen
Kimi Raikkonen is confident Marco Mattiacci's fresh approach to managing Ferrari will eventually yield results.
Mattiacci was parachuted in to the top job after Stefano Domenicali stood down as team principal and the new man has spent his first months assessing the team's strengths and weaknesses. Mattiacci's background is based in Ferrari's road car division, but Raikkonen thinks he can offer a fresh approach to the team's issues.
"Obviously he's a different person, but everybody has their own way of doing things and running things," Raikkonen said. "I think it's very early days for Marco, and when he started he didn't have as much knowledge as Stefano about Formula One, but he's a very nice guy and he wants to really make a difference and know the sport. These are good signs.
"He's doing a lot of work behind the scenes that people don't see and I think he's doing a very good job. He's a very good guy to work with, he's just a different person from Stefano.
"I had a very close relationship with Stefano, but it's just a change for all of us and I think sometimes that's a good thing. People who come from outside of F1 have a different view of things and it can help us. It's been good so far and I'm expecting that he can do a very good job."
