Mark Webber admits Saturday's qualifying session could be "a lottery" if wet conditions continue at Interlagos.

The Brazilian Grand Prix has been forecast to have a wet weekend and both of Friday's practice sessions saw rain. Although Webber was third quickest in FP2 behind Nico Rosberg and team-mate Sebastian Vettel he said the conditions could lead to a strange grid.

"In qualy there could be a bit of traffic involved and hitting the lap when the tyres are there and things [will be tough]," Webber said. "It opens up more of a lottery window when it's like this. We've seen some mixed grids here in the past when it's wet so we'll see what happens tomorrow."

On his Friday running, Webber said he felt Red Bull had managed to get a lot out of the two sessions despite the weather.

"It was all about trying to understand the tyres in both conditions. We need to understand from the full wet to the inter, and also we did quite a few laps today considering most people only used one set of tyres on the inter. So it was a productive day in preparation for tomorrow because we expect still some wet track conditions and we'll go from there. You've also got to understand the inter on a long run, a short run and also save tyres. A bit of a testing for the teams but overall we got what we could out of the day."
