No hard feelings with Ferrari - Hulkenberg
Nico Hulkenberg is not getting upset about missing out on a drive at Ferrari next year to Kimi Raikkonen.
Hulkenberg was in the running for a Ferrari drive after serious contract talks but the Italian team opted to re-employ Raikkonen instead. But the Sauber driver said there were no hard feelings towards Ferrari and he would not dwell on missing out.
"No, not at all to be honest," he said. "I think the relationship is as good and as positive as before."
He added: "Of course driving for Ferrari is absolutely special - it is a dream for pretty much every driver in the paddock. But it's history now - for the moment - and so there's no point in crying about the situation. What is important now is to refocus on my performance - especially this weekend- and on good results in the next couple of races, and then find a good solution for the future."
Hulkenberg has been linked to Lotus as a possible replacement for Raikkonen, but said nothing has been decided yet.
"The priority is to find a good deal and a good car, a competitive car, and a good package," he said. "Nothing is finalised. Nothing has been decided at this point. Trying to sort out all the options and then to come up with a good decision for the future."
