Eugenio Castellotti comes over the top of Radillon after Eau Rouge in the Lancia D-50. He put in a huge effort in practice to take pole position, ahead of the Mercedes of Fangio and Moss but had to retire from the race with a broken gearbox, Belgian Grand Prix, Spa, June 5, 1955
