Rodney Nuckey began racing in Formula Three before moving into Formula One in 1953 and racing in a number of races over the next two seasons. He finished 11th at the German Grand Prix and although he was entered in the following year 's British Grand Prix his place was taken by Eric Brandon who retired after two laps. He raced in a number of non-championship F1 events with his best result third place at the 1953 Syracuse Grand Prix. In 1954 he won a Formula Two race at Djurgdsloppet in Helsinki and enjoyed some of his best results in Scandinavia. After running a business in Hertfordshire he emigrated to Australia and then the Philippines.
