A company director, who raced in his spare time, Philip Fotheringham-Parker's one grand prix was at Silverstone in 1951 when his privately-entered Maserati was forced out of the race with a fractured oil pipe. Later in the year he won a non-championship Formula One race at Winfield. His greatest success was second place, again in a Maserati, at Curragh for the 1949 Wakefield Trophy race.
