Crowds spilling onto the verges of this high-speed blast at altitude led to Mexico losing its race after 1970. However, Mexico's capital got its race back in 1986 and held onto it for a further six years. The final corner, the gently-banked 180 degree Peraltada curve, was one of the toughest on the calendar, as Ayrton Senna found out when he tried to take it in sixth gear in 1991 and flipped.
