Massa 'a bit more happy' in 13th
Felipe Massa declared himself "a little bit more happy" with his performance in the Chinese Grand Prix despite finishing in 13th place.
Having started on medium tyres in 12th Massa made a good start and then stayed out for a long time to lead the race for a period before his first pit stop. His strategy put him out of sync with a number of other cars, however, meaning he'd climb back through the field before pitting. Despite saying that he was disappointed not to score, Massa said his own personal performance was improved as he fought with stronger cars.
"I'm disappointed but I can say for myself that I'm a little bit more happy than the first two races," Massa told the BBC. "At least everything was going on during the whole race."
However, Massa admitted that the race had not been a good one for the team as Ferrari only scored two points courtesy of Fernando Alonso's ninth place.
"We tried a different strategy between our two cars and it didn't work so well for both. Fernando scored some little points but anyway, he got maybe even a little bit less traffic so today was not really so much possible but let's work to the future."
