Nico Rosberg has put the disappointment of his retirement at the British Grand Prix behind him by tying the knot with long-term girlfriend Vivian Sibold at a ceremony in Monaco.
Rosberg tweeted a picture from his special day, saying he and his new wife are "over the moon" - with their first grand prix together as a married couple set to be his home race in Hockenheim. It may well be a welcome distraction for Rosberg after retirement at Silverstone allowed team-mate Lewis Hamilton to close the gap to just four points in the title fight.
Perhaps inevitably some of the German's followers immediately speculated how long it would be before Hamilton wishes Rosberg - who he has known since their karting days - congratulations on Twitter. Though not betting experts we think it is safe to assume Hamilton was not invited.
We are over the Moon. It was very special to share our wedding day with our closest friends and family. pic.twitter.com/kLYTkq179y— Nico Rosberg (@nico_rosberg) July 11, 2014
