Schumacher won't dominate - Webber
Red Bull driver Mark Webber is convinced Michael Schumacher will not dominate the sport in the same way he did in the 2000s.
Schumacher won five consecutive titles driving for Ferrari between 2000 and 2004 and has now returned to Formula One with Mercedes. Webber will be one his main rivals this year but is confident the competition is too tight to allow Schumacher to run away with the championship.
"We won't have the 60, 70 second victories like we did in the past," Webber said. "It is not going to happen, don't worry. He will win some races, maybe he will get the title in the three years [he is contracted to Mercedes], but it is not going to be as straightforward as it was in the past."
He added that Schumacher's return was ultimately good for F1 and said he had respect for the seven-time champion's decision.
"It [Schumacher's comeback] is great for the sport," Webber said. "Absolutely fantastic for the sport. He has done amazing things in his first career. He is coming back for his second career because he is a competitive individual, and I take my hat off to him. [It is a] big balls decision to come back and have a go. As a competitor you have to admire that."
